Sunday Reset Routine for Moms: Simple Cleaning Checklist for a Calm Home
If you’re looking for a realistic Sunday reset routine for moms, this is mine.
After church activities, we come home and focus on a simple weekly home reset — not deep cleaning, not organizing every drawer — just a practical system that keeps our home calm before Monday.
This simple Sunday cleaning routine helps reduce stress, eliminate clutter, and prepare for the week ahead.
Our Sunday Routine After Church
Once we get home, I keep it structured and minimal.
Here’s our Sunday reset checklist:

- Kids take responsibility for their own dishes
- Make sure there are no loads sitting in the washer
- Sweep floors
- Mop floors with Lysol or Clorox
- Quick wipe-down of bathroom surfaces
- Light dusting
- Make the beds
This is not a deep clean.
It’s a weekly home reset for busy moms.
